





​Due to the nature of the martial arts we practice, Bujin-Ryu only accepts members from the age of 16 years and upwards. If you would like to join us and are under the minimum age, you must be accompanied by a participating parent/guardian who is willing to be responsible for you.
Bujin-Ryu Dojo Aims
We do:
​

​Give clear and reasonable instruction to the best of the ability of our instructors.

Answer any questions related to our classes. If an answer cannot be given immediately, it is the instructor's responsibility to respond within an appropriate timeframe.

Treat members as individuals, without prejudice.

Inform local law inforcement agencies of any illegal activity relating to the carriage and use of weaponry by any member.

Inform our members in a timely fashion of any changes to session times and/or prices.
We do not:

Compete in tournaments or competitions and competitive behavior is discouraged within the dojo.

​Tolerate rudeness, violent or inappropriate behaviour from members or guests.

Prescribe physical punishments for mistakes such as push-ups or laps.

Bujin-Ryu Dojo Rules



Members of Bujin-Ryu agree:

- ​To act within the rules of the dojo at all times when present.
- To conduct themselves appropriately both inside and outside the dojo.
- To listen to and adhere to any instructions given by a senior grade/instructor, verbal or otherwise immediately.
- To be respectful to other members, irrespective of their rank or status.
- To act reasonably, responsibly and with dignity within the dojo.
- To leave any external misunderstandings between members outside the dojo.
- To abide by the decisions of the grading panel, subject to reasonable explanation/appeal.
- To treat guests to the dojo as members.
- To report any misconduct to a senior instructor at their earliest convenience.
- To not take part​ if they are under the influence of alchohol or drugs, or suspect that they may be in a condition that may endanger themselves or others.
- Act within the law at all times.
